We've been refining it for months, shaping it with joy, rhythm, and light. Così Fan Tutte sweeps us along with a playful and carefree spirit, embracing the beauty of a late season gently giving way to renewal. In the heart of winter, The Socialite Family felt the deep, essential need for joy and light.

Così Fan Tutte
Lovers of the decorative arts know it well: furniture speaks. They exchange discreetly among themselves, in a whisper of crumpled fabric, in a clatter of metal or a purr of moving wood. Writer and illustrator Philippe Jullian made no mistake when, in 1959, he published his Mémoires d'une bergère (Memoirs of a Shepherdess), in which a Louis XV armchair happily traversed the eras and shared his thoughts by the fireside in the winter of his life. The furniture speaks, then, and attunes to each other through a will of its own. Have you ever noticed that a pedestal table won't accept the presence of a lamp? That suddenly a seemingly eclectic ensemble can turn out to be full of meaning? For its new collection, The Socialite Family is also making the furniture talk and even smile. And indulges in a merry game of fools akin to Mozart's drama giocoso – playful drama – Cosi fan tutte.
From this tragicomic work, reminiscent of Italian farce and vaudeville, we retain the light-hearted tunes, bouncing from note to tempo. In the opening, the first eight bars are slow but strong and theatrical, like the strokes of a baton announcing the start of a play. The stage is set, followed by the theme of Cosi fan tutte, andante. The sequel plays out presto, responding to the emotional whirlwind that sets the opera's characters abuzz. The contrast is permanent between strong, piano, subito nuances: the music leaps with lightness and contrast.

In the depths of winter, The Socialite Family felt the oh-so-essential need for joy and light. Following the virtuoso composer's lively, light-hearted tempo, the new pieces in our interior are placed and interact in a play of reflections that respond to the notes, synonymous with laughter and joy for Constance Gennari, founder and artistic director of the house.
Games of rhythm, games of light... and games of waiting: in a beautiful wood-paneled mansion, set in the middle of a romantic park, we glide from one room to the next, reclining to dream on the
sofa, whose openwork back lets in the rare winter light, when, with eagerness, we stand up to draw the curtains, open the windows, let in the light, then turn around, pluck a grape from the shiny
marble table, sit down and stand up again....

To this dance of impatience – impatience for the spring that shouldn't be so long now? - answer the winks of furniture that sometimes amuses to excite the eye – such a reflection of light in the
vase or the
mirror, such a glint coming from the varnished elm burl plated on the
coffee table, such a twinkle from a metal eyelet on the
bench, always encouraging musing, comfortably ensconced by the fire, wrapped in a
throw and snuggled up in a
armchair. Smile: you'll be waiting for spring in good company.
Così Fan Tutte is all of these things at once
