The Apartment of the Founder of Roseanna

The Socialite Family invites you to follow them into an apartment decorated by interior designer Stéphanie Lizée. This apartment belongs to Anne-Fleur Broudehoux, founder of Roseanna. Known for its boldness, and its colour and fabric combinations, the brand soon found a place in the hearts of a select clientele who couldn’t care less about the vagaries of fashion trends. An identifiable style with a smart blend of luxury and ready-to-wear filtered through the sportswear style that made their name. Broudehoux is a woman from Lille who knows the value of a good entourage. 20-year-old friendships, and family relationships mean that when Anne-Fleur loves those around her, she is more creative. And we know it better than anybody! In addition to this project combining both cutting-edge furniture, high-end materials and sumptuous details masterfully orchestrated by her… sister-in-law, Roseanna has just released a capsule collection called “Please Have a Seat” with The Socialite Family on 26 Saturday 2020. Their communal voice will intermingle fashion and design based on three creations: the modular Rotondo sofa, the Carino cushions and the Ellisse purse. Three seventies-inspired models featuring a strong jacquard fabric. A leopard print from the archives of the Parisian ready-to-wear brand, which celebrates the spirit of Italian icon Gabriella Crespi in its new collection. It was a great opportunity to celebrate the story of friendship between the Creative Director and Constance Gennari – founder of The Socialite Family – but also their mutual desire to showcase the personality and values of this extraordinary Milanese.

Anne-Fleur, how would you describe yourself?

Anne-Fleur

I'm the mother of Joseph, who's 4 years old, Zacharie, who's 2 years old and one of the founders of Roseanna. I'm a Parisian from the 10th arrondissement, but originally from Lille.

TSF

What brief did you give the architect Stéphanie Lizée for your apartment?

Anne-Fleur

We wanted an apartment that reflects our personalities. Stéphanie is part of the family, she knows us so well that the question of a brief wasn't really necessary. If I had to put what we were expecting into words, I'd say warm, practical and punctuated by a timeless classic style.

TSF

How would you define your style in terms of interior design?

Anne-Fleur

Eclecticism defines our home, we only work on the basis of love at first sight.

TSF

Which is your favourite material in your home?

Anne-Fleur

Marble, burr elm, concrete, wood, metal, velvet and jacquard that you'll also see in our collections. Naturally, we also share our taste for materials, textures and colours with Thierry and Stéphanie.

Which piece of furniture would feature in your dreams?

Anne-Fleur

A Mario Bellini velvet sofa, the Camaleonda (1971) model or a Tobia Scarpa sofa.

TSF

Do you have a preferred designer or time period?

Anne-Fleur

Modernism. I'm mad about John Lautner, Albert Frey, Alexander Girard, Oscar Niemeyer, Gio Ponti, Le Corbusier, Mallet Stevens, Charlotte Perriand and Marcel Breuer.

TSF

Where do you find the inspiration for your collections and prints?

Anne-Fleur

Inspiration is everywhere in the life around me. We have an extensive library at home. I love sharing books with my sons and rediscovering them myself, always with a different eye. I adore those moments with them. More generally, in a recurrent way, I try to live and grow in the middle of a world that is ever more inspirational: music, scenography, exhibitions or an old fabric. In particular, I'm thinking of Days are Dogs at the Palais de Tokyo that thrilled me with the complexity of its decoupage of worlds. The simple fact of putting oneself in a certain situation can also be a trigger, through a conversation or a film.

How would you describe the Roseanna woman?

Anne-Fleur

A woman who’s free and individual, who’s confident in her choices, anchored in her time. A woman who has an innate sense of detail and difference, who likes beautiful materials, whose style ranges from the ultra-feminine to an assertive masculinity. I see Roseanna as a way of life, a complete wardrobe that is there whatever the occasion.

TSF

Which is your colour of the moment, the one for next summer?

Anne-Fleur

I like bright bold colours. The colour of the moment is mauve. This colour is really an obsession at the moment!

Tell us about the capsule collection that unites The Socialite Family and Roseanna from 26 September to 8 November.

Anne-Fleur

We had fun doing a crossover between our worlds as part of this collab in tribute to Gabriella Crespi. Both at Roseanna and The Socialite Family, we advocate a certain lifestyle which goes way beyond our respective specialities. It’s a world that is sustained by artistic references, textiles, furniture, and architecture, with a pronounced taste for good food and travel! You can discover this unique association in more detail from 26 September to 8 November in the shops – and on the sites – of The Socialite Family (12 rue Saint Fiacre -Paris 2nd arrondissement) and Roseanna (5 rue Froissart – Paris 3rd arrondissementt) Another helpful clarification: this is a limited edition, only available for pre-order with delivery scheduled for early February 2021.

Do you have a good restaurant to recommend, in Paris or elsewhere?

Anne-Fleur

Nothing really new. I go to Sara Soba regularly or to Anahï for the pleasure of enjoying good meat. I also like Hôtel Providence, both in summer and in winter, for the tapas on the terrace, as well Le Grand Amour and Le 52 to start the day properly with a fantastic breakfast. I have a passion for Italy. When I’m in Venice, I automatically head to La Trattoria alla Rivetta for lunch, it’s where the gondoliers go. In Palermo, I can only recommend Antica Focacceria S. Francesco.
