Stripes, the Interior Design Trend Trump Card
We all have in mind an image of the beaches of our childhood, whether they are on postcards or imbued with very specific memories. From the Lido to Deauville, passing through the canvas shelters of Biarritz promenades, stripes were - or still are - our landmarks. Blocks of bright colors easy to identify to find our family after long afternoons frolicking in the waves. Time has passed. But our eye still softens in their presence. Synonymous with sunshine and elsewhere, stripes are a good way to bring UV rays into an interior. Graphic, they instantly bring character to a room. Like Émilie Luc Duc, we do not hesitate to bring brightness to our sofa with a stole found in a fabric store. Placed on one of the seat's widths, it brings an interesting duality, which we also find in our limited edition Alassio cushions. With an original 1960s pattern - specially picked for you during our last Milanese trip - the stripe once again asserts its strong potential. An invitation to timelessness that differs according to regions of the world and how local artisans appropriate it. The result is a range of designs as vast as it is rich in variations. A boon when one wishes to modulate its intensity. You will have understood, from simple rugs to bed linens to cement tiles, the stripe is definitely our obsession of the moment!
