Anne-Laure Mais, French muse
The story of Anne-Laure Mais, a Basque native and modern-day blogger, is the story of a pastime that evolved into a profession. She is passionate about digital, and it was almost without thinking about it that she gradually became what we now call an influencer. On the web, this woman of taste and professional aesthete is Adenorah, and each day she shares her favourite things and talks about fashion, design, and beauty too. She collaborates and creates capsule collections with several brands, Jonak to name just one. She felt the desire to go further, and now the adventure is continuing with the launch of her own brand, Musier. Around twenty pieces, all Made in France, designed for the muse that is hiding within us all. One to discover without delay.

Anne-Laure, could you tell us about your background please?
Anne-Laure
I was born on La Réunion, grew up in Biarritz, and came of age in Paris. In the meantime I studied for a masters’ degree in marketing and international management in Bordeaux and, in parallel, I launched my blog, Adenorah. I started out in Paris as a community manager for a major ready-to-wear brand and I decided to continue as a freelancer so that I would have more time for Adenorah. Today, I’ve launched my own label and finally feel as though I’ve accomplished something.

Which room do you spend most time in?
Anne-Laure
My office, because I work from home – otherwise the living room.

Where do you go to look for furniture to buy?
Anne-Laure
I tend to go hunting for furniture in lots of different places. Firstly, flea markets with my mother or Emmaüs in Saint Michel, when I’m in Bordeaux. Then I spend an enormous amount of time online at Leboncoin, Etsy, Selency and eBay.

What’s your favourite item at home? A dream object, if you like?
Anne-Laure
I’d say my chairs by Gastone Rinaldi or my Plona chair. I dream of getting my hands on an _Arredoluc_e lamp.
I just like to blend different eras and styles. So that my décor has plenty of stories to tell.

Is there an artistic trend, a personality, or an era that particularly inspires you?
Anne-Laure
Not particularly. I just like to blend different eras and styles. So that my décor has plenty of stories to tell. But I still have to admit that I have a soft spot for the 70s and 80s.

The upcoming year is looking pretty intense – could you tell us about your future plans?
Anne-Laure
Yes, the year is packed with projects, starting with the launch of the Musier clothing label on 9 April. It’s a brand that closely reflects who I am, but which is aimed at this entire generation of smart, well-connected and inspirational girls (in every sense of the word). The bonus is that the majority of the items are made in France! And, on a personal level, it’s also a big year because I’m getting married in September.

How would you describe your world in three words?
